Brown Brothers Catering is a catering service based in Utah that has been serving its community for over 18 years. They have an article called "Professional Wedding Caterer Tips for Keeping Calm on the Big Day" which provides wonderful tips for people planning their wedding. I want to add on 4 more tips that will help people that are planning for their big day. I will link their article at the end of this post so you can benefit from their useful tips as well.
My first tip is to order what you like to eat. This wedding is about you and the food should reflect that. You shouldn't have to worry about not liking the food. This day should be enjoyable and the food should be as well.
My second tip is to not get something messy catered. You do not want the bride to get her brand new dress stained. Most people want lots of quality photos taken at their wedding. Stains can be a very quick way to mess up pictures and remind yourself every time you look at them that you should have chosen something else.
My third tip is if your budget allows opt for servers at the wedding. This will allow the tables to stay clean since they can take away dishes that are finished. They can also bring out dessert later in the night so the table is not jam packed with plates. Also, your loved ones are able to give full attention to you and you wedding instead of figuring out what to do with the dishes
My fourth and final tip is to feed your vendors. They are going to be at your wedding as long as you are there so giving them something to eat would be polite. It will also put them in a better mood which will allow them to do their job better. A photographer that is happy and fed well is going to take better photos of your wedding than one who is grouchy and starving.
