Positives:
Price- The set is typically $130 but it can be found much cheaper. At the time of writing this article it can be found for under $50 which is a great value for what you are getting. Many other comparable sets will run you well over $150.
Quality- The quality of this set is quite high. Typically for pots and pans at this price point the handles break or the coloring scratches and fades. From my use with this set it has maintained an almost new finish. I have accidently dropped pieces from the set and the handles are still good as new.
Negatives:
Cleaning- To put it simply, cleaning this is a hassle. The ceramic baker tends to get food stuck around the edges where the bottom meets the side which makes it difficult to get out. The pots and pans have metal fasteners on the inside that connect the handle to it which can be quite inconvenient. Some foods such as eggs can cling to the sides of the metal which is hard to get out without putting in some elbow grease.
Design- This may seem like a small detail but many homeowners like to purchase a pot and pan set that look good and match their kitchen. This set only comes in three colors so that could be an issue for people that want to match. The ceramic baker and the melamine measuring cups have floral patterns that are reminiscent of a grandma's kitchen. They are wonderful for nostalgia but do not have a modern feel.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, this is a wonderful set to buy. The affordability and longevity that this set offers is a combination that is rarely found. This is an amazing set for anyone who is getting into cooking or enjoys to cook occasionally. However, if you are someone that cooks multiple times a day or hates doing the dishes by hand I would suggest spending more and buying another set.
